I have an older Yanmar SS4 one cylinder marine diesel that seems to run well but it hits very hard on each detonation. I don't have a manual on this so don't know if the timing is off or the injector is not working properly. I checked the rod bearings and everything seems ok. Does anyomne have any suggestions on how to time this engine? Thanks.
