chev 5.7 with MSD ignition & destributor

MSD gives you choices of timing advance curves. my engine is stock except for the ignition. what curve is the best for this application? With the empeller I have in it I can only get 4100 rpm max at high. altitude.
 
You really don't give a clue what "stock" is so hard to speculate there...if it truly is factory original, it should have had the jets changed for "high altitude" operation...if that has been done, then going to a smaller pitched prop would do the engine good.

As far as the advance curve, it would be best to measure what you have and then get the curve that is closest...if the engine is in a small "lightweight" hull, so that the engine is fully loaded, you may be able to deviate a little from the factory curve....
