85 50 hp force.. wont stay running

has 120 plus psi in both cylenders, new water pump...not overheating...was idelling high so i adjusted it down and it died...wont start back up....help please......

How did you "idle" it down?
The screw on the front of the carb?
That's for the air/fuel mix at idle.
It needs to be set at about 1 and 1/16th out for initial adjustment.
The idle is adjusted at the towershaft on the side of the motor.
Needs to be set at 750-800 in gear.

Air screw adjustment.
Start at 1 to 1 and 1/16th out.
In the water,start motor,turn screw in 1/8th turn.
Wait 10 seconds and turn in 1/8th again.
Turn until the motor balks,stutters,coughs or stalls.
Then out 1/2 turn.
Needs the 10 second run time to burn the gas at the old setting.Don't rush it.
