1986 mercury 6hp.

Is this with the motor running in a barrel ??-------Do you have a fan to get rid of exhaust ?------The motor is 25 years old, so not likely " starving " for air due to the design.----Look for issues with an exhaust leak or a plug wire shorting to the cover.

thanks for your info.it is in a barrel so I will try the fan.i'll let you know.mur
