Hi, I have a 1987 U.S. Marine Force 85hp motor model:856x7b ser#3358. The battery is fully charged 12.67v tested good at the auto shop on their tester, new cable ends. When I go to start it it will crank about less than 1/8 of a turn and stop, and the pinion gear stays engaged"in the up position". Would it be reasonable to assume the starter needs replaced? Can you tell me what kind of starter this is and what to replace it with? Thank you Dempsey
