I put my outdrive together without setting my prop to forward, etc. I had pulled the lower shift shaft to change the bellows. I did this in forward gear. Is there anyway I salvage this without pulling the drive again?

if the shift shaft pieces were not correctly aligned when you put the lower back on, you'll have to start over if you want it to shift...no easy way around it...

Assembling the upper to the lower dosent matter

I had pulled the lower shift shaft to change the bellows

you didnt have to.

Is there anyway I salvage this without pulling the drive again?
