I feel like a "babe in the woods" now that I have an older boat (72 Glastron v164) ,I realize I don't have a clue where to look for parts locally for it.
I know there are some good resourses ( this forum amoung them) on line, but I'm kind of a hands on buy local if possible person and being retired I have plenty of time to kick around looking for stuff if I can only find a place to start.
So far I have found some of what i need at Cooks Engine on Tomahawk island, but little else.
Anyone have any resources the would like to share??

Try seeing Brad at Fairview Marine just off of Sandy Blvd north of Fairview, Or.
He's on the corner where Sandy Blvd and the road to Blue Lake Park and Chinook Landing intersect.

Your 1972 Volvo Penta is probably a 250 drive.
A 270 or later can be made to replace a 250, if need be.

The older Volvo Penta push rod engine can also be replaced with one of the OHC engines.

Thanks for the info Rick My drive is a 270 and seems to be in good condittion. As advised I am pulling thr gear box and changing the shift cable and drive shaft bellows
