My friend has a 1999 sea ray 34 with 454's attached to Borg warner v drives. He just bought the boat and once in awhile when he shifts the starboard engine it makes a grinding noise and stalls the engine. He'll let it sit for awhile and its fine. Shifts perfectly. He ran the boat 40 miles yesterday without a hitch. The tyranny feels warm, not hot at all and the fluid looks newl. Doesn't smell burnt. Any ideas whats causing this intermittent problem?
