Hi people, I just bought a Evinrude 18 HP outboad motor, Im new to this game so im in need of some info please. The serial number 108035c 92299, Does anyone no the year or how to work the year out?? also would a use a 50 to 1 petrol mix, kind regards Lee.

read your tag again.. sure it isn't 18305? That's a 73 model, and yes, run 50:1

Hi buddy, thank you so much for the reply, my error its 10803sc 92299 the 5 is ment to be a s I think the tag is a little defaced, 1973?? kind regards

That would be a 10 HP--------So post a picture of your motor for instant identification !

that would be a 1971 model----------18 is for the horsepower followed by 1 indicating 1971.

So sorry to be a pain, But Im looking at wiring a stop/start switch in as the original stop/start witch been has been ripped out, would I wire the switch to both sides of the points, kind regards

Hi again, yes that is correcct it isnt a electric start, thank you so much. Im so looking forward to getting it running now, ill keep you all up dated
