2004 mercury efi saltwater fuel/starting problem

I have a 2004 MERCURY EFI SALTWATER with pnly 83 hours that rums great. When run at high speed or constantly stopping and restarting it won't start. It seems like it is not getting fuel. The dealer told me that this year EFI has a know problem that was corrected in later models where by it builds a vacuum lock in the fuel system. He told me that I just need to make sure that I idle for a short period of time to cool the fuel. Does any one know if there is a fix for this. If I do not idle it takes a while to start it but it eventually does. I can tell it is not getting fuel.
