Hi I have a evinrude fastwin 18hp outboard motor not sure the year or gas mix hasn't been started in couple years and I wanted to know what I should do before I start it and what the mix is ? The serial number is 181025 c 97116
 
No such thing as a 1970 Evinrude that is 4 stroke.-------Be sure to get some sort of owners manual / book and learn about the operation of that motor.---------It is a 2 stroke motor that requires oil to be mixed with the gas in order to lubricate the precision internal parts.
