Bleeding fuel/oil lines

Hi Gents . . .

Just curious if whether it is a critical issue when bleeding the air out of the fuel and oil lines once replaced.

Is it just a matter of keeping the primer bulb compressed once nothing but fuel or oil is emitted and then re-attach the line to the engine

or is there a bleeder valve or the likes of at the engine side to do the same thing?
any input would be appreciated as I just want to do this the correct way before installing new lines and testing.

On an outboard? they will bleed them selves during normal operation...the primer bulb on the fuel linewill take care of the fuel line before the engine starts, if you use it..

Before you fire that engine you need to pre mix the fuel with oil in the fuel tank at 50:1. You have to do this anytime you remove the oil line from the VRO pump. You will also have to remove the fuel line and purge the unmixed fuel from the line.

DO NOT SQUEEZE THE OIL PRIMER BALL ONCE IT IS HOOKED UP TO THE VRO PUMP, YOU WILL DAMAGE THE PUMP.

Thank you guys , just wasn't completely sure .
never bled anything except brakes or a clutch.
but I will complete the steps as you have suggested and hopefully it's all good

cheers Gibson
