95 johnson 50hp. (j50dtleos) replaced impeller, thermostat, seafoamed carbs and went for the first run with this motor. Ran great for about 5 minutes at wide open throttle and noticed white smoke or steam coming from the mid leg exhaust. Felt the water from there and it was very hot! No overheat alarm though. Stopped and let it idle for about 5 minutes and the water was alot cooler and no white smoke. Did this a few more times with the same results and went back to the dock. Could i have a blown head gasket??? please help!!!
