champion fresh water cooling question

hi, helping a friend with his boat, he has '96 454's and champion fresh water cooling. does anyone know the lb's for the cap, sounds like he needs to replace it. im not at the boat so dont really have the particulars other than that.

If it has a recovery system, he'll need a pressure cap suitable for the recovery system.
The cap's valving will allow for both expansion and return coolant.
 
Best thing to do is to examine the original cap...if it is the "older" style that uses the ears, it should have its pressure rating stamped into it...the newer ones usually use labels...
