trying to wire 1972 mercury 800 to a 2011 south bay pontoon with 14 pin harnes

can anybody help me wire the old mercury 800 outboard to the new wiring? the pontoon had a 2012 mercury 9.9 4 stroke and now the kids want to tube! I would like to keep the new controls, so i need to know what wires from the boat harness to splice in to the old connecter.
