81 Johnson 35hp will not stay running.

I am new to working on outboards. The motor fund fine at first. After it warms up and I throttle it down to idle. The motor starts to run ruff. Then finally shuts down. It will not restart after that. If it does it does not run for long. I have replaced the plugs, wires, fuel pump, and rebuilt the carb. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.
 
Are you sure the spark is strong and it is running on all cylinders? Open the idle mixture screws an 1/8 turn CCW and wait 10 seconds...if it still runs rough repeat the 1/8 turn until it is smooth.
