Just purchased a 2001 Evenrud
Just purchased a 2001 Evenrude 75 Hp. Tachometer needs to be set for either 5 or 6 pulses per rev. Instructions state that this can be determined by the leads coming from the stator. One setting is for one yellow lead and the other for three yellow leads with colored ribbons. The trouble is nothing is obvious under the hood. Wires everywhere. The only yellow wires found were numerous.
Can someone just tell what the setting should be for this motor?
