Suzuki DT200 very low compression issue.

Hi everyone,

Quick question about an '86 DT200 I picked up.

I was cleaning it up and checking it out before I put it on my boat, but when I did a compression check, it came back at 60psi on every cylinder.

This seems very low for all cylinders to be same? I haven't checked the reed assembly yet.

Reed valves have nothing to do with compression in the cylinder !---They in fact open up when compression in the cylinder starts.----Try another gauge first.
