Port Engine problems

I took my boat out for a shake down today. The port TAMD 40 oil pressure slowly dropped until the blowby started blowing heavy smoke. The question is "After I pull the engine, would it be sufficient to replace the main bearings, rod bearings and seals? or should I plan on replacing pistons and cylinders?" I wish I could just bore the engine and install oversize rings. Does anyone know if this is possible with a Volvo? I will know more after I tear down the engine.
