I have a 2001 90 hp mariner that wouldn't idle. I flushed out the fuel system and ultrasonic cleaned all the carburetors.While checking the ignition system i found that only the upper ignition coil was firing. I swapped the trigger wires to the coil and the problem followed. I heard of the interrupter circuit for the ignition system during gear shift changes to reduce engines loads. Is it normal to have only two cylinders fire during the start sequence? how can i test the electronic fuel primer circuit? any ideas? please help....
