Need Help with My Mariner motor i just bought!

I have recently aquired a Mariner 70hp Outboard. Serial # 5702226 Can someone please tell me the year model of this motor. Also it is Puting Exhaust out the P hole hose. I have bought a new water pump and put it in. Ive heard about thermostats in these motors but can not find were mine would be Located. I do believe this motor to be a 1980 model do to pervious owner.? Idk whats wrong with this so any Advice would be Greatly Apperciated.
 
Not that im aware of. it is getting a few drops of water out of the P hole line but is still puting exhaust out it. U can blow through it so i know its not stoped up Please help
 
Are you getting water out the exhaust ports and thru the prop? Did you get the water tube aligned?

Well there was a time that i was getting water out of the Exhaust port But not now. Im getting water out of the prop and yes my tube is aligned right.
