ok I have a 1985 115 hp johnson. That i started today bought the boat about a year ago and just started tinkering with it. The engine started and immediatly was like i was oushing it down to full throttle and i wasnt it was in idle. and something under the fly wheel in a box with a red cord running in it caught on fire and melted the top of the box now every time i put those battery cables on the battery it glows orange. hot immediatly. Please help or advise me cause i have no clue on what to do. at this point.
