Older 75 HP Merc needs extra OOMMPPHH!

My '93 75 Merc still runs great on top end-apprx 50 mph at 5-5200 rpm. BUT she's getting slow out of the hole. Compression's still great but use is showing. Motor is on a 17' Nitro TF170. Any suggestions on helping bottom end performance? Used ptimarily for pleasure fising, cruz'n, but would like to pull the occasioanl skier without dragging them for a mile trying to nget 'em UP. Suggestions on prop change to help bottom end....THX!!

What pitch are you running now? If you are like most people, over the years, you have added more weight to your boat than you realize. Either you have to reduce the weight in the boat or drop a pitch size or 2. Some of the better prop shops will let you try different size prop until you find the right size for your application. Cleaning and buffing the bottom of your boat may also help.
