I have a 2003 Mercruiser 4.3 MPI and I am about to replace the manifolds and risers (elbows). It appears that in 2005 the Mercury people changed the downward angle on the risers from 7 degrees to 14 degrees and I have only been able to secure the latter here in Australia.
The new parts have the same bolt pattern and use the same gaskets. The slight increase in height on the 14 degree part seems to just about offset the increased angle.
I would like to know if anybody has installed the 14 degree parts and if so, did they experience any difficulties?
