Holy Cow Stuck Foot !!! 15 Hp ...

So I picked up a long shaft 15 hp 2 stroke ...

Drove out the roll pin removed the 4 nuts came off EZ Peezy :) that lower came off

Have a short lower... the nuts have been off but the lu is stuck to the midsection just sprayed the junction point with penetrating oil ... tapped around with a mallet .. still stuck !

heat ?

any known tricks
 
The usual issue is that the drive shaft is stuck in the end of the crank shaft. In severe cases, the drive shaft may even be twisted. Wedges and patience are the usual solution in our shop. You can easily crack a casting with the mallet. It might take several days and lots of patience to drive successively thicker wedges between the DS housing and the LU.
 
I think you have missed a bolt.--Or perhaps some alignment dowels have some corrosion products on them making it harder to come apart.
 
It will be a "soft tip" acetylene torch soaking in pb blaster right now but will go to ATF tomorrow ... once I am satisfied with the condition of the LU I will order some parts from pete ... thanks all I will keep u guys posted ...
