Hi, the saildrive on our volvo penta MD2030C is needing replacement. The engine won't go into forward easily. Sometimes, when we put it into reverse first and then whack it forward it will go into gear. We can tell because there is a whining sound. We changed the cables which helped for a few months but we reckon the whole saildrive needs replacing.
The only second hand one we can find at the moment is a 120 SD or SB and ours is a 120 SE. Are these interchangeable?
Any advice gratefully accepted.
