I have a 1965 Evinrude 40HP long shaft w/mechanical shift. With the size and position of the water intake port it's obvious that the standard muffs won't work for cooling the engine while on land. If anyone knows of a device or method for getting cooling water into the engine without the necessity of running it in a tank I would appreciate the information. I realize that using a tank is preferable but that simply is not available in my situation. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
