Transmission trouble??

I recently bought a 92 Moomba with a 302 PCM engine that runs really well and is a blast to run around in. My trouble is when I shift into neutral, the shaft still wants to turn. Not much but enough to move the boat. I thought it might be the linkage so I unhooked the cable and shifted the boat by hand. It still turns. I assume there is a problem inside the transmission. Just wondering how big a deal this might turn out to be. Any thoughts?

Check the fluid level, if fine it sounds like the clutch packs are worn and fused together

Ok, thanks. Do I need to check the fluid level with the engine warmed up or is cold ok? Also, when the boat is idling, hooked up to a hose while on the trailer, the prop spins slowly and will stop with just a small amount of resistance.

It's probably a PCM tranny

You can get the manuals from correct-craft forum or planet NAUTIQUE

Down load the manual and we can walk you thru it
