I recently aquired an 83 55hp chrysler model 559v3s with the one piece lower unit,i removed to replace the impellar,housing,drive shaft seal,prop shaft seal, and the two large 0 rings on the spool/prop shaft bearing"or so thats what the part is called in the schematics??"the large piece that is directly behind the anode when you remove it that must be removed with a puller. My question is once i removed this spool assembly should my prop shaft have a small amount of wobble from side to side with this removed,it does but when the spool assembly is installed it has no wobble what so ever.is this normal??any help would be appreciated,this is my first chrysler,i'm use to working on my volvo i/o so it's a bit different to say the least.thanks
