My boat is about to go back in the water with a rebuilt VP2003T. Trouble is I still can’t get it to idle properly and needs to run ataround 1500RPM to avoid shaking violently and cutting out.
After rebuild the engine ran sweet until we realised thatthe small ball had been left of the fuel link rod resulting in no control ofRPM. As the engine was completely reassembled the only way to install the ballwas to remove the control rod, fit the ball and replace, to replace the controlrod we did need to remove the fuel pumps, however I was careful to replace inexactly the same order. Since then I have experienced this problem. I feel the fault must be in this area as this wasthe only change from running sweet to running rough.
Any advice would be welcomed
