I just bought a used 97 mercury mariner engine, 225 and in the beginning wouldnt turn over cause the flywheel would only go around once and stop in the same spot everytime, but after getting it started finally it has a knocking sound in the upper unit, i revved it up a little and it didnt go away. any idea on what this knocking sound might be??? any help would be very much appreciated!!!
