exhaust snout angle???

I have a 1989 Force 85 HP on a Spectrum 1700. The boat pulls hard to the right on holeshot. I noticed the exhaust snout is off center to the right (from the rear of the boat) it is adjustable. I was just wandering why would it be off center and will that affect the pulling. I just got back into boating so most of this is new to me.

The angle of the trim tab/snout will affect the pull.
Try changing it to the other side or if the boat pulls hard to the right you move the snout to the right.
How far is it to the right?
 
It was all the way to the left. I moved it to center but have not been on the water to check the effect.
