solex44pa1 carb need ball valve or new carb any ideas? thanks

I require a ball valve for a solex 44pa1 carb that is off an aq331d volvo marine engine...this part fell apart and brazing it caused the ball valve to become inneficient...what say you? does someone have this part(not part of kit) is there another carb for sale? can I use a different carb altogether? Love this olde boat and motor and would like to get on the water again....thanks
 
If you're talking about the float chamber check valve, you're right, they aren't included in the aftermarket kits. Possibly try ebay or try an ad on craigslist.
 
I have tried to check on various sites but have come up empty...would but an entire carb if necceasry or a replacement but even that seems hard to locate...thanks for the feedback
 
thanks everyone...i actually had success in soldering with flux core electrical solder...very small piece to work on but seems to be holding...thank you so much but will continue to look for a spare
