Newbe to this forum. I'm rebuilding my 1964 CC 16ft ski boat and I'm down to the motor.
1st question: this boat came with 305 heads and the motor ran poorly, I want to return to the stock heads, but are they unique or differnt from automotive heads, and is there a good source?
2) I'm going to have the short-block done at a local machine shop, 620 hrs on motor, should I replace or regrind or not touch other than clean parts like crank, cam,rods,cam gear etc.
