" I am getting prepared to bui

" I am getting prepared to build a crusing Catamaran, and am looking to save a few $$$. My desire is to have twin inboard/outboard drives with a closed coolant system.

I am looking to use a GM 2.5L 4 cylinder as the base engine.

Can someone refer me off to a source on the web that will help me in this conversion? "

" do not use automotive engine

" do not use automotive engine or parts they will not last . also not sealed to stop sparks, very dangerous. "

" I agree with Patrick. If you

" I agree with Patrick. If you are building a cruser, a small diesel is the only was to go. Pick up a nice used or rebuilt one. The initial cost will be slightly more than a gas engine but fuel economy will be at least three times that of a gas engine and you do not have dangerous gas fumes to deal with. Also diesels will run forever with just clean fuel, low maintenance, and diesel is available world wide, where as gas that is available is of questionable quality in many areas. Good Luck, Kim "
