1979 70hp thunderbolt original prop size

I am trying to understand the correct prop size. Does anyone know the original prop size? I don't know if the prop that's on there is the best choice(10 1/2 x 14) I was out pulling a tube yesterday and it didn't get very good top speed. The prop needs to be replaced regardless since it is dinged up.
Do I need to get a new hub with the prop?

Poor cylinder compression reduces power...check it. A dinged prop doesn't move water very well...get it rebuilt by a prop shop. They can tell you if it can be rebuilt and the hub's condition.
