My outboard serial number is not listed??

I am trying to verify the year of my Mercury Thunderbolt 70hp. It's not listed on the webpage here with all the serial numbers. Wondering if anyone can help me

I think it is a 79 but am trying to verify. How did you know it was a 79? I will get pics. It's a black with blue lines-Thunderbolt
