Engine makes hissing noise?

Guys, I took my boat out the other day and at WOP I hear a hissing noise for a split second every 5-8 seconds. This due to a leak???

Take a can of starting fluid and as it hisses spray the fluid around the motor.
A hissing might be air escaping so it might not draw any in and change the way the motor runs.
So hissing? Again spray some kind of something that will show up.Like smoke or something that will blow away.J

So while the motor is running spray fluid around the motor? Is this like a process where you will see the fluid sprayed out to find your air leak? Smoke? Am I suppose to spray in the carbs or what?

Thanks Jerry

Ok, also I was removng the fuel line that goes to both carbs. In the photo this came off in the fuel line.

I can put it back in but still remove it quite easy with pliers. Is this a minor fix?
