I hope someone can help me here
The boat starts perfect but has a significant miss at idle.
When I try to let it warm up she stalls out.
When a friend revs it up from the back when I start it I can hit snap it in gear and she will run smooth as a kitten until I shut her off and it all starts over again.
I am thinking carb problem but not sure.
I cannot see an airleak in a hose but they can be impossible to find anyways.
I also cannot find any set screws on the carb itslef.
If someone has some ideas it would be appreciated.

Compression/spark test?
Clean the carb.Make sure the jets are clear.
The air screw front top of carb(you have one?)in till it just bottoms out.
Then out 1 and 1/16 turn. Then adjust from there.

Check and replace the crankshaft seals. Most common is the top seal wears out and then starts drawing air in that leans the mixture. On a motor this old, it's a good possibility.
