'97 5.7L, 2bbl mercarb, TB V, A-1 GenII.

Wet oil fouling and carbon build-up on #3 spark plug. Compression in that cylinder 145psi.
Compression in all other cylinders 160-170psi. Vacuum test OK... 18"Hg and steady at idle, 25"Hg and steady at 3000rpm.
Replaced the fouled plug, runs pretty good but starting to show signs of a tired, worn-out engine.
Hopefully it will last another year or so.
Thinking about putting in some heavier oil, maybe a can of STP and see if that tightens things up a bit.
