I have a 1994 3.0 gl that will

I have a 1994 3.0 gl that will not idle at low speeds. I have been told that it could be a possible exhaust manifold letting a little water on the piston causing it to miss. This problem goes away when the boat is running at increased rpm. Compression test was sat. I am getting fire on all cylinders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"I have an AQ 125A which is an older motor but is still a four cylinder, I would get a miss at high speed mixed with a little backfire through the carb. A little water would get in to the cylinder, also my head had began to deteriorate. At low speed it ran great. Sounds as though you may have a carb. problem."

that sounds just like what mine did... i think i would try the exhaust manifold first. If it is not that it may be time for a valve job
