Are you able to rev up the Chrys 105 engine or is this dependent on the cotrol unit? My son thinks this is why we can not give it any gas while out of gear.

The shifter should be able to give the high idle in neutral.
You have the silver button on the side??Pics??
Pull the button,push the button.Then push the lever forward.
Should go into high idle/no gear.
50-1 on the gas.6gal 1 pint.
