Hello,
new to this forum.

Purchased a 150 Suzuki lastyear on a 175 Alumacraft. Usually runs around 48mph with 6000 rpm at WOT. Read an older post and and a suggestion was made to take it down to 5950 with a larger prop. Currently have a 15/21 - hole shot is good, almost too quick when in rough water. Would the next size up increase the top end ?
Thanks

Thank-you,
the next size would be a 15/22, but seems to be limited or not availiable in a 3 blade. What effect would a 15/23 have ? How about prop diameter changing ( possibly a 14.5") ?

Never really thought about that. Read somewhere a decrease in diameter increased the rpm's - might off set the pitch change ? Another site figured I was maxed out all around , kind of wonder what others were running on a similiar set up.
Thanks

Up-date: Purchased a 14.75" /23 Suzuki prop. Just what I was looking for. RPM's down to 5800-5900, MPH bouncing at the 49-50 ( 1 person, full load and gas ), the previous prop seemed to slip out when trimming up - this one seems to stay hooked better and the hole shot is still good ( but not as jumpy ). Downside the idle trolling speed increased to around 3.0 MPH from 2.2 MPH
