    Default Perkins fuel filters

I have a 1982 Perkins T6.354 that I want to install with a Racor 900 series fuel filter. If I install this filter as the primary can I leave the existing CAV in place or will it push additional work load on the fuel pump?
if I took out the original CAV filter where does the fuel return line go (this currently goes to the CAV filter).

If anyone can guide me on this as I want to get it right the first time.

    Hi grazza,
installing the racor between the lift pump and fuel tank is fine and will not cause any problems. You need the cav filter to catch small particles as well.
