Oil type question

Hello,

I have a Velvet drive 72c and need to find an AFT oil SAE 30 weight which meet C3-oil specification.

Even SAE-API CD type is preferable (MIL-L-21048)

My question is: does this oil type still exist? If so, which brand do you suggest ?

You are better off with good old DEXRON ATF. If you want the stuff specified in the older service literature, go find a farm equipment shop and they will get you what you need. Also likely to be found at a commercial truck service facility or a good hydraulic service shop.
 
I have a 1997 Borg Warner tranny (454XLi engines). The manual specifies Dexron II, but can I use Dexron III or IV without issue? Backward compatible, right? ;)
