Can you add engine ice to a closed loop cooling system

Hey guys,

Could I use engine ice in mercruiser 470's closed loop cooling system? it is an additive that helps the engine run cooler... It is not running over normal operating temp, but i would like for it to run as cool as possible.

I'm not sure, but i will be breaking into it for a replace. I'm sure that it could use a little care, it runs cool as is so it should be ok.
 
well at low throttle runs about 160 on the gauge, before running the flush through it... ran about 200. I will be getting into it to check the water impeller.

Purchase a kit and Quick silver or Mercury gear oil. Replace the pump if you are going to take it apart. Just separate the upper and lower. You do not have to remove the drive.
