The motor in my boat has a cracked block.

I am not a mechanic at all. I am not sure if any of the motor is salvagable or not.

Am I looking at having to buy a complete new motor?

There aren't a lot of marine shops around here....Any recomendations on where to buy online? and what do i need?

Thanks.

By the time you fart around with having the head redone you will have spent to much money. Just buy a remanufactured longblock compleate engine...not "rebuilt". Then transfer your parts to the new one. There is a difference. Rebuilt means it has been quickley gone thru and repaired to bring it back to operating condition. Remanuf. means it has been disassembled completely, block is bored and both it and the head are cleaned, mating surfaces are milled flat and brought back to near original condition, valves are replaced and seats are cut/ground to specs., crank is polished to specs, pistons and rings are replaced along w/bearings and bushings. Pushrods and refinished and lifters are replaced. It gets a new oil pump and timing gear/chain set.
