3208 Exhaust manifold coolant leak

I just replaced an exhaust manifold on my 375 hp 3208 with an aftermarket aluminum manifold. There is coolant leaking around all of the mounting bolts. My mechanic doesn't think there should even be coolant in the bolt passages. Is this true or do the bolts maybe go into coolant passages in the head? Any help would be appreciated.

If there is coolant leaking out of Attaching bolts for the manifold then I would say they go into the water jacket. Loosen all the bolts and pull one at a time and apply sealer and reinstall then and then re-torque.

I have since learned that there is a defect in the manifold allowing cooling water into the bolt jackets. Do you think it is safe to seal the bolts as an easy fix?
