How about just sticking to the "Good News" with a logical, and happy ending, as in the system needed upgrading, and the results were a complete success! :cool:

I would go the gear reduction route when the time comes though. There isn't very much feedback on them so most recommend the traditional units but I would guess later model engines are using them.

Jack, I think that you'd be hard pressed to find anything but a HTGR/PMGR starter motor on any new marine engine these days.
