250 no start and then some

I have a 91 Yamaha 250 TXRP went to go out today and no start, will turn over, also no choke, no fuel pump and the t&t switch on the cowl is inop, it works from the shifter. check all grounds, fuses are good connection are good, by passed the dead man and nsw. driving me nuts 80 degs out and the reds are bitting. Thanks for any help
 
Disconnect the main plug on the engine and jump the starter solenoid while holding the choke closed. Make sure you have water hooked up so if it starts you will not damage the pump. To shut it down, just reattach the main plug. If it starts the problem is at the helm.

Without looking it up, does your engine have a choke or an enrichment solenoid? If a solenoid lift the red lever to "Choke" the engine.
 
we have spark,got it started by using the red lever (thanks ) it will start with the keyswitch, it has 4 volts at the trim switch and the enrichment pump, also now the down side of the trim is inop at the shifter, thinking main relay/trim relay?
